Hajar Saad al-Ameeri al-Khaldi ( Arabic هاجر الخالدي, DMG Hāǧar al-Ḫālidī ; * March 17, 1995 ) is a Bahraini sprinter .

Athletic career

For the first time in an international championship, Hajar al-Khaldi competed at the Arab Junior Championships 2014 in Cairo , where she won the silver medal in the 100-meter run and bronze over 200 meters . At the end of September she took part in the Asian Games in Incheon , South Korea for the first time , where she was eliminated in the first round over both distances. In 2015 she won the 100 meter gold medal at the Arab Championships in Manama and reached the semi-finals at the Asian Championships in Wuhan . Over 200 meters she was eliminated in 24.99 s in the lead. In 2016 she took part in the Indoor Asian Championships in Doha , where she finished sixth in the 60-meter run in 7.46 s. She also qualified over 100 meters for the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro , where she was eliminated with 11.59 s in the preliminary round.

In 2017 she won gold with the Bahraini 4 x 100 meter relay at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Baku and finished fifth over 100 meters in 11.90 s. In 2018 she again took part in the Asian Games in Jakarta , where she finished fourth over 100 meters in 11.38 s and was disqualified in the 200-meter run in the semifinals. On the final day of the games, she won the gold medal with the relay in 42.73 s, ahead of China. The following year she won over 100 meters in 12.05 s and with the relay. Shortly afterwards she reached the semi-finals at the Asian Championships in Doha , in which she was eliminated with 11.82 s. In addition, she won the relay in 43.61 s behind the teams from China and Kazakhstan.
