IC 1420 is a merging dwarf galaxy of the Hubble type I0 in the constellation Pegasus in the northern sky . It is estimated to be 82 million light years from the Milky Way and about 20,000 light years across.
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on September 18, 1889 .
