IC 1422 is a spiral galaxy with an active nucleus of the Hubble type S in the constellation Pegasus in the northern sky . In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 1425 and IC 1428 .
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on August 19, 1893 .
