IC 5119 is a spiral galaxy of Hubble type Sa in the constellation Pegasus north of the celestial equator . It is estimated to be 246 million light years from the Milky Way and about 60,000 ly in diameter.
The object was discovered by Stéphane Javelle on October 26, 1897 .
