IC 5105 is a cD galaxy of the Hubble type E3 in the constellation Microscopium in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 242 million light years from the Milky Way and about 140,000 light years in diameter.
The object was discovered by Lewis Swift on August 19, 1897 .
