NGC 7010 = IC 5082 is an elliptical galaxy of the Hubble type E5 in the constellation Aquarius on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 384 million light years from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 215,000 ly.
The object was discovered on August 6, 1823 by John Herschel ( listed as NGC ) and on August 27, 1886 by Guillaume Bigourdan (listed as IC ).
