NGC 7016 is an elliptical galaxy of Hubble type E0 in the constellation of Capricorn on the ecliptic . It is an estimated 496 million light years from the Milky Way and has a diameter of about 115,000 ly.
NGC 7016 is the brightest member of the NGC 7016 galaxy group, which also includes galaxies NGC 7017 , NGC 7018, and PGC 69143 .
The object was discovered by Francis Leavenworth on July 8, 1885 .
