NGC 7002 is an elliptical galaxy from the Hubble type E1 in the constellation Indians on the southern sky . It is estimated to be 327 million light years from the Milky Way and approximately 145,000 light years in diameter.
The galaxy NGC 7004 is located in the same area of the sky .
The object was discovered by John Herschel on September 30, 1834 .
