IC 5072 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type S in the constellation Peacock in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 120 million light-years from the Milky Way and about 30,000 light-years across.
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 5071 and IC 5073 .
The object was discovered by DeLisle Stewart on September 26, 1900 .
