IC 5057 is a star in the constellation Aquarius . The object was discovered on July 27, 1884 by Guillaume Bigourdan and incorrectly added to the index catalog . The possible sighting of a nebula on the object is probably due to the fact that it is in the direct vicinity of the galaxy NGC 6962 .
