IC 5054 is a spiral galaxy of the Hubble type Sa in the constellation Peacock in the southern sky . It is estimated to be 187 million light years from the Milky Way and about 115,000 light years in diameter. Possibly it forms a gravitationally bound galaxy pair together with IC 5053 .
In the same area of the sky are u. a. the galaxies IC 5048 , IC 5051 , IC 5060 .
The object was discovered on September 26, 1900 by the astronomer DeLisle Stewart .
