Marcin Sitarz (born October 12, 1978 ) is a former Polish ski jumper . He became Polish champion in 1986 with his club Start Krokiew Zakopane .

Career

Sitarz made his international debut in January 1996 at the 1996 Nordic Junior World Ski Championships in Asiago, Italy . While he reached twelfth place in the team competition, he finished 47th in the individual on the normal hill. In March he won in Zakopane , together with Wojciech Skupień and Krystian Długopolski the Polish championship in the team.

In the summer of 1996, Sitarz achieved his best international result of his career with a surprising second place in the Continental Cup competition in Zakopane. In November he made his debut in the World Cup , but when he was forty he missed the points he would never achieve. Sitarz had been nominated for the Four Hills Tournament 1996/97 , but he could not take part in it due to a training fall from the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf .

The other years were largely unsuccessful. Also at the Universiade 2001 he only reached the lower ranks in the individual, whereas he finished fifth with the team. Sitarz ended his career in 2002.
