Roman Groński (* 1968 ) is a former Polish Nordic combined skier and ski jumper . He was three times Polish champion.

Career

Groński, who started for the ski club Wisła-Gwardia Zakopane , mainly competed in Nordic combined, but he also started in ski jumping competitions every now and then. His best individual performance in ski jumping was seventh place in Wisła as part of the Beskydy Tour . At national level he was only one of the top personnel in combination. Although he was never able to win the Polish championship in singles, he won the championship title three times with the team.

At the Nordic World Ski Championships in 1989 in Lahti , Finland , he represented Poland together with Stanisław Ustupski in Nordic Combined, where he finished 36th in the Gundersen competition, over seven minutes behind the winner. Two years later, he achieved the same placement at the 1991 Nordic World Ski Championships in Val die Fiemme .
