Jakub Węgrzynkiewicz (born July 21, 1928 in Szczyrk ; † June 18, 2006 ibid) was a Polish ski jumper and ski jumping coach.

Career

Węgrzynkiewicz went in the course of his career for several clubs at the start, where he started the longest for BBTS Włókniarz Bielsko-Biała . At Polish championships he won the silver medal behind Stanisław Marusarz in 1952 and bronze in Wisła in 1954 .

Węgrzynkiewicz was a participant in the Winter Olympics in Oslo in 1952 , where he finished 33rd with jumps on 60.5 and 58.5 meters. In addition, he took part in the Four Hills Tournament 1956/57 , in which he achieved his best result with the 34th place in the opening competition in Oberstdorf .

After the end of his career, Węgrzynkiewicz trained, among other things, later Olympians and Polish champions such as Piotr Fijas or Janusz Waluś . He died on Sunday June 18, 2006 in his hometown of Szczyrk.
