Janusz Waluś (born November 3, 1953 in Breslau ) is a former Polish ski jumper .
Career
Waluś, who started for the BBTS Włókniarz Bielsko-Biała , made his international debut as part of the Four Hills Tournament 1975/76 . He achieved his first and only top 20 placement on the Schattenbergschanze in Oberstdorf with 14th place and also his best individual result at the Four Hills Tournament . Neither in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , Innsbruck or Bischofshofen did he manage to place in the top 50, so that Waluś only achieved 50th place overall at the end of the tour.
At the 1976 Winter Olympics in Innsbruck , Waluś did not get past 52nd on the normal hill either. Only on the large hill did he show slightly improved performance as 39th.
Despite the rather poor Olympic result, Waluś also started in the Four Hills Tournament in 1976/77 . However, this time he could not achieve a single top 50 position and so did not get above 57th place in the overall standings. Just a few weeks after his last international appearance, Waluś became Polish champion on the Skalite normal hill in Szczyrk . At the competition on the large hill he had to admit defeat to Stanisław Bobak and Tadeusz Pawlusiak and came third. He celebrated his last success in 1983 when he won the team competition of the Polish championships together with Piotr Fijas , Wojciech Gruszecki and Józef Pawlusiak for BBTS Włókniarz Bielsko-Biała .
