Aleksander Stołowski (born August 3, 1955 in Nowy Targ ) is a former Polish ski jumper .

Career

Stołowski, who started for Podhale Nowy Targ , made his international debut on the Beskydy Tour in Szczyrk on January 28, 1972, but ended up only in 59th place after jumps on 69.0 and 59.5 meters. He achieved his first result in the top 15 at the Czech Marusarzówna Memorial in Zakopane when, in 14th place , he was a little more than forty points behind the winner Henry Glaß .

It had its strongest winter in the 1974/75 season, in which it first started in the Four Hills Tournament . After he only reached the lower ranks four times and achieved his best result with 37th place in Garmisch-Partenkirchen , he finished the tour in 46th place. Just a week later, Stołowski placed third on the Beskydy Tour in Wisła for the first time on the podium at this level. Also at the 11th Bohemian Spring Tour of Friendship in Špindlerův Mlýn and Liberec , he confirmed his form with two placings in the top ten and a third place in the team competition together with Wojciech Fortuna , Adam Krzysztofiak and Jan Bieniek . In addition, he won his first and only medal at the Polish Championships in February . He won the bronze medal from both the Skalite normal hill and the large hill Wielka Krokiew .

At the Four Hills Tournament 1975/76 he reached 21st place from Bergiselschanze in Innsbruck , but only finished 54th in the overall ranking.
