He then made his debut in the Ski Jumping World Cup on January 23, 1993 . In Predazzo , however, as 58th, he clearly missed the leap into the points. At the following Nordic World Ski Championships in 1993 in Falun , he achieved 44th place on the large hill with 95 and 69.5 meters. He jumped from the normal hill to 69 and 73.5 meters and thus reached 53rd place. A month later, he started again with the team at the Team World Cup in Planica and reached 12th place.
