Marek Pakosta (born April 21, 1969 in Litomyšl ) is a former Czech beach volleyball player . He became European champion and took part in the 1996 Olympic Games.

Career

Pakosta completed its first international tournaments in 1994 with Michal Palinek . Two years later, the Czechs won the European Championship in 1996 with a victory in the final against Jörg Ahmann and Axel Hager . In the same year they took part in the Olympic tournament in Atlanta . There they were defeated by the Brazilians Franco / Roberto Lopes and the Canadians Child / Heese .

In the following two years Pakosta played with Milan Džavoronok . The new duo did not get past the shared last place at the 1997 World Cup . At the next World Cup in Marseille Pakosta reached 41st place with Přemysl Kubala . The European Championship in Palma Pakosta played again with Dzavoronok; he finished ninth. The following year he ended his international career.
