Marek Zieńczuk (born September 24, 1978 in Gdańsk ) is a Polish football player .
Club career
The midfielder began his professional career in 1996 with Lechia Gdańsk in the Polish second division. Between 1996 and 2000 he played a total of 107 games in the second and third Polish leagues for Danzig , scoring 18 goals. In 2000 he was first used in the Ekstraklasa for Amica Wronki . At the end of 2004 he moved to Wisła Kraków and won the Polish championship with the club in 2004, 2005, 2008 and 2009. He also won the 2000 Polish Cup with Amica Wronki. He is a specialist in long-range shots and an excellent pass and flank giver. He proved this several times in the Ekstraklasa, the UEFA Cup and also in the Champions League qualification. For the 2009/10 season Marek Zieńczuk moved to the Greek first division club Skoda Xanthi . For the Greeks Zieńczuk completed 13 league games and scored two goals. After the season, they mutually agreed to terminate the contract. Marek Zieńczuk returned to Poland to Lechia Gdańsk . However, he played in the entire first half of the 2010/11 season only three games in the Ekstraklasa and therefore moved to the second half of the season to league rivals Ruch Chorzów . After Zieńczuk was without a club in 2016/17, he joined the amateur club AS Pomorze Sopot the following season .
National team
In the national team Zieńczuk completed nine games. From 2002 he got the chance to prove himself several times. However, he was never really able to assert himself here and was disappointing in almost all missions. By 2008, he played nine international matches.
