Margaret II of Dassel

Margareta II von Dassel (* November 2, 1640 - October 21, 1680 ) was an abbess of the Medingen monastery . She came from the Dassel patrician family .

On July 16, 1650 she became a conventual in the monastery, from then on she lived in the Lutheran women's monastery. In 1667 she was elected abbess to succeed Margaret I. The inauguration took place on May 2, 1667. She suffered from an illness and therefore died at the age of 40 and after 13 years in office. She was buried next to Margaret I in front of the chapel in the cloister of the monastery. An epitaph with text and coat of arms was set up next to it.
