Margarete Raunert

Margarete Raunert (* 1895 ; † 1994 ) was a German doctor and author.

Life

In 1924 she worked at the University Women's Clinic and at the Physico-Chemical Institute of the University of Leipzig , as confirmed in the article A micro-method for measuring the rate at which red blood cells sink . In 1929 she received her doctorate in Jena with a dissertation in mathematics and natural sciences . In the 1930s she wrote non-fiction books on nutrition and cosmetics, and before the war she published well-known cookbooks . During the war she was seconded to the TH Prague, Institute for Biochemistry and Food Chemistry, where she worked in a separate department for research in food chemistry. In 1949 the cookbook 100 tried and tested recipes for the time of need was published.
