The Margarethenkapelle Bad Hall is located in Bad Hall in the municipality of Bad Hall in Upper Austria . The Roman Catholic branch church of St. Margareta is a listed building .

history

The chapel was named as the chapel under the seven lime trees and was mentioned in a document in 1298. At the end of the 14th century a new Gothic church was built, which was consecrated in 1410. Since 1459 the coat of arms of the city of Bad Hall shows a view of the church. A sacristy was added around 1600. Until 1784 the church was a branch church during the reconstruction of the parish church Bad Hall itself. The chapel was restored from 1957 to 1960 and renovated from 1977 to 1981.

architecture

The core of the chapel is the former late Gothic reticulated vaulted choir. The former longhouse was converted into a children's institution. The west tower is an eight-sided roof turret .

Furnishing

The structure of the tabernacle, the altar painting and the statues are early classical around 1785.
