José Fábio Alves Azevedo , called Fabão , (born June 15, 1976 in Vera Cruz ) is a former Brazilian football player . The right foot played in the position of a central defender.

Career

Fabão received his football training at Paraná Clube . At the age of twenty he started his professional career in 1996 at EC Bahia . The player changed clubs more often, u. a. He also played in Spain , Japan and the People's Republic of China .

He won numerous national and international titles. His greatest achievement was winning the 2005 FIFA Club World Cup with São Paulo FC . In 2014 he ended his professional career.
