Margarita Dimov

Margarita Dimov (* in Tashkent , Uzbekistan ) is an Uzbek violinist and violin teacher in the USA .

Life

Dimov began her training with Nathan Mendelssohn at the "Uspensky School", a music high school for musically gifted children that is attached to the Tashkent Conservatory . Here she learned violin and piano, solfège , music theory and harmony . Later she did her bachelor's degree with distinction at the state “Khamza Music College” in Tashkent, where she studied with V. Youdenitch. She also attended master classes with Oleg Krysa and Igor Bezrodny (1930–1997) and master classes at the Tashkent Conservatory.

Dimov was concertmaster at the Russian Theater for Music and Comedy in Tashkent for ten years . Later she was a member of several chamber orchestras in Israel and the USA. For more than 20 years she worked as a violin teacher privately and in classes in Russia , Israel and the USA, for example at the Gorin School of Music in Mountain View ( Santa Clara County , California ).

Since February 2005 Dimov has been teaching at the “Community School of Music and Arts” (CSMA) in Mountain View, where she accompanies her students in class or in private lessons in the subject “violin” and prepares them for exams and auditions .

In her private life, she loves singing and dancing, silk painting and the production of roses from a wide variety of materials and is very familiar with textiles - “from a previous life in fashion design” . She also loves to travel and learn languages.
