Margit Görsch

Margit Görsch (* 4. February 1945 in Luckenwalde ) is a German politician of the CDU . From 2006 to 2011 she was a member of the Berlin House of Representatives .

education and profession

Görsch attended the general polytechnic high school (POS) and then completed an apprenticeship as a technical draftsman. She then attended the Wildau University of Applied Sciences, then the University of Applied Sciences in Berlin-Lichtenberg and graduated as a graduate engineer (University of Applied Sciences). Margit Görsch worked as a technical draftsman in the state-owned company Luckenwalder Metallwarenfabrik and then as a technical clerk for occupational safety at the Academy of Sciences . She was also employed as an engineer at VEB Transformatorenwerk Oberspree. In addition to her political work, Görsch worked in the family business in Berlin-Grünau until 2010 . From 1997 to 2000 she was a member of the Mittelstandsvereinigung Köpenick.

Görsch joined the CDU in 1995; during the time of the GDR it did not belong to any party. She is a member of the CDU district association Treptow-Köpenick and was a member of BVV Treptow-Köpenick. Since the beginning of March 2007 she has been the local chairwoman of the CDU branch in Köpenick-Süd.

From 1992 to 1999, Görsch was citizens' deputy for economy and tourism as well as urban planning and the environment in the Köpenick district council . In 2006 she was elected to the Berlin House of Representatives via the Treptow-Köpenick district list, to which she belonged until 2011. In parliament, she was a member of the Committee on Economics, Technology and Women as well as a member of the parliamentary group executive and spokeswoman for women’s affairs for the CDU parliamentary group.

Personal

Margit Görsch has been married since 1970, has a grown son and lives in the Berlin district of Treptow-Köpenick .
