Margit Christmas
Margit Chrismert (born March 29, 1953 in Zeitz ) is a Saxon politician ( SPD ). From 1994 to 2009 she was a member of the state parliament of Saxony.
Life
After graduating from high school, she studied to become a qualified agricultural pedagogue . From 1974 to 1980 she was a specialist teacher for animal production and from 1980 to 1983 editor at agra-Buch-Verlag . From 1983 to 1990 she worked in the area for training and further education in the combine animal raw materials. After reunification, she took over the management of the Leipzig qualification center from 1990 to 1993 and from 1993/94 headed the department for vocational training at the VHS Leipzig. Margit Chrismert is married and has two children.
In addition to her partisan work, she has been chairwoman of the Leipzig-Grünau e. V. active.
politics
Margit Chrismert became a member of the SDP (later SPD) in January 1990 . She has been a member of the state executive for her party since 1994 and a member of the social democratic community for local politics since 1990 . From 1990 to 1993 she represented the SPD as a councilor in the city parliament of Leipzig .
She was elected to the Saxon state parliament for the first time in 1994 and belonged to this three electoral terms (15 years) . From October 2004 to August 2009 she was deputy chairwoman of the SPD parliamentary group and chairwoman of the parliamentary interior committee. In addition, she was a simple member of the “Constitutional, Legal and European Affairs” committee. Due to the poor performance of the SPD in the state elections on August 30, 2009 , despite being number 17 on the list, it missed re-entry into the Saxon state parliament.
