Margot Gatzlaff-Hälsig
Margot Gatzlaff-Hälsig (née Hälsig; born January 29, 1934 in Stollberg / Erzgebirge ) is a German Indologist.
Life
From 1953 to 1954 she studied German at the University of Rostock , from 1954 to 1957 Indology at the Shdanov State University in Leningrad , from 1957 to 1960 Indology at the Lomonossow University in Moscow and from 1962 to 1964 in additional studies at the University of Delhi with a scholarship from Indian government. After graduation in 1966 Dr. phil. from 1961 to 1966 she was a research assistant at the University of Leipzig ; from 1966 to 1968 senior assistant and from 1968 to 1999 lecturer in Hindi. In 1978 she received the Dr. sc. phil. from the Karl Marx University of Leipzig .
