Margrit Irgang (born January 8, 1948 in Bad Kissingen ) is a German writer .

Life

Irgang began his first publications in alternative literary magazines such as the watering can in the mid-1970s . Since 1982 she has been a full-time freelance writer. In 1983 her first reviews appeared in the features section of the Süddeutsche Zeitung , and in 1989 Deutschlandfunk broadcast her first book review . During the 1990s, Bayerischer Rundfunk was her main broadcaster, and since 1996 she has been writing literary reviews and author portraits, primarily for SWR .

In addition to literature for children, Margrit Irgang has published several books on Zen , a topic with which she has been concerned in theory and practice since her youth. Numerous articles and some radio features were published about her travels through Europe, America and Asia. Irgang lives near Freiburg im Breisgau .
