Mariánská hora (German Marienberg ) is a district of the municipality Albrechtice v Jizerských horách in the Okres Jablonec nad Nisou in the Czech Republic .

geography

The district lies on the edge of a side valley of the Kamnitz (Kamenice) between the mountain Špičák (Spitzberg) and the extensive forests of the two Desset valleys in the Jizera Mountains .

Marienberg also includes the Mariánskohorske boudy (Marienberger Bauden) group of houses, located separately in the forest halfway to the ridge, near the Broken Dam , which, however, is not permanently inhabited.

history

Several hiking trails lead through the village, which was founded in 1701 and has a hotel as well as several cottages and guesthouses. In 1991 the place had 11 inhabitants. In 2001 the village consisted of 18 houses in which 22 people lived.

Attractions

One of the sights of Marienberg is the Holy Stairs to Desná , which consists of around 350 stone steps.
