Assumption of Mary (Kaufering)
The Catholic parish church of the Assumption of Mary in Kaufering is the main church of the Kaufering parish community.
history
When many expellees came to Kaufering after World War II , an emergency church was built in 1954 . In 1961 a new church was started. In January 1962, the bells were consecrated on 28 July 1962, the new church by Bishop Josef Freundorfer consecrated .
Furnishing
The mosaic behind the high altar was created by Br. Benedict Schmitz (* 1935 - June 19, 2015) and consecrated on April 16, 1987.
organ
The organ was built in 1995 by Franz Schreier from Thierhaupten . It has 28 stops on two manuals and a pedal . The disposition is:
