The Assumption of Mary is a listed Roman Catholic parish church at Kirchplatz 1 in Sarching ( Barbing municipality ) in the Regensburg district ( Bavaria ).

The church is a hall building with a cross-ridge vault with a retracted choir, flank tower with onion dome and sign. The nave is 18 meters long and the height of the church tower with its baroque onion dome and tower cross is 26.5 meters. The church dates from 1762 using older parts. In 2008 there was an exterior renovation with roof renovation and replacement of the bell cage. An interior renovation followed in 2010.

The high altar with a late Gothic Madonna dates from the 19th century and replaced the previous high altar. The original furnishings probably include the two baroque side altars dedicated to the Holy Family and St. Sebastian .

The slider chests -Orgel with mechanical tracker action and six registers is from an unknown builder from the period of 1850 to 1880. The Calvary from 1886 is a work of Georg holder and Vitus Borrowitzka . In the vestibule there is, among other things, an epitaph from 1556 for Hans Schwefer, the carer of Sarching at the time.

The churchyard was also used as a cemetery until 1959 .
