Mari Lang (* 1980 in Eisenstadt ) is an Austrian presenter and journalist.

Life

Mari Lang grew up in Bruck an der Leitha . After graduating from high school , she studied journalism and communication science in Vienna and graduated in 2005 with a thesis on working conditions and motivations for war reporters.

From 2001, Lang worked as an editor and presenter for the youth culture radio station FM4 . She mainly deals with the topics of social policy, sustainable living, sport and literature. She also moderates the programs Connected , Homebase and Soundpark . She also heads the FM4 outdoor editorial team, which picks up on trend and extreme sports.

In 2009 she worked on a grant for three months at the radio station MR1-Kossuth Radio in Budapest as an editor and was a temporary correspondent for ORF. In 2010 she helped set up the Tashi Delekfm FM radio station in the SOS Children's Village in Dharamsala in northern India.

Lang's reports were broadcast on the Ö1 programs Diagonal and Journal Panorama . She moderates events such as B. the FM4 birthday party, the Linz Fest, the Buch Wien and the Solar Architecture I-vent on stage.

In 2011 she presented on ORF eins contra | the talk , from October 2012 to May 2013 the report format Mein Leben - The report with Mari Lang . Here Lang accompanied individual people in their everyday lives for several days.

Since January 2015 she has been presenting the ORF sports news program Sport aktuell .

In 2015, the ORF Ethics Council criticized the ORF journalist's appearances at SPÖ party events. This is fundamentally incompatible with the ORF law, program guidelines and code of conduct.
