Maria Pellegrina Amoretti (born May 12, 1756 in Oneglia , † November 12, 1787 ibid) was a well-known Italian lawyer and the first woman to receive a doctorate in Italy.

Maria Amoretti was the niece of canon lawyer Carlo Amoretti . With his support and support, Amoretti was able to study law at the University of Pavia . At the age of 21, Amoretti successfully completed this course in 1777 with a doctorate . Amoretti died in 1787 at the age of 31.
