Maria Beatty
The filmmaker Maria Beatty (* in Caracas , Venezuela ) lives in Paris and New York . She directs and is an actress and producer . Her films are often in black and white and deal with various aspects of female sexuality, often lesbian themes and including BDSM and fetishism . She appears in some of them herself, such as The Elegant Spanking (1995) and The Black Glove (1997). With Boy in the Bathtub (2006) Beatty dared to make her first full-length feature film.
The Seven Deadly Sins was honored in the 2004 Festival Internacional de Cine Erotico De Barcelona in the category of Best Fetish Film .
The documentary Inspired - Fetish-Scenes (2003, Max von Strömungen) shows the work of the director Maria Beatty in the filming of a fetishistic fantasy. This also includes interviews with the actresses and a visit to the studio of a corset maker . Other documentaries that include interviews with Maria Beatty are Fetishes (1996, Nick Broomfield) and Didn't Do It For Love (1997, Monika Treut).
