Maria Kostler
Maria Köstler (born November 21, 1879 in Niemes (Mimoň) , Bohemia , † November 1965 ) was an Austrian politician of the Social Democratic Workers' Party (SdP).
education and profession
After attending a seven-grade elementary school , she took a nursing course. In 1915 she became an official of the state office of the Red Cross for Styria . In 1922 she became a state civil servant.

- 1917: Co-founder of a nurses' union in Graz
- 1933: Secretary of a nurses' union in Graz
- 1920–1930: Member of the Styrian Landtag
- Member of the Styrian State Union Commission
- 1946: Member of the Communist Party of Austria (KPÖ)
- Member of the Central Committee of the KPÖ

- December 2, 1930 to February 17, 1934: Member of the National Council ( IV legislative period ), SdP
Others
Maria Köstler was serving a political prison sentence in 1934. She then emigrated to London (“League of Austrian Socialists in Great Britain”), but ultimately returned to Austria.
