Maria Langhammer

Maria Christina "Ia" Langhammer (born August 13, 1962 in Stockholm , Sweden ) is a Swedish actress and singer .

Life

Maria Langhammer grew up in an artistic environment, so her father was not only a psychotherapist and photographer , but also her uncle, with whom the family lived in the early years of her life, was a photographer and married to the Swedish author and actress Katarina Taikon . Even when the family moved to the country, the artistic environment was preserved. It was also the Swedish actor Peter Lindgren who saw talent in Maria Langhammer and was able to persuade her to make irregular theater appearances. After working as an au pair in London , she took acting classes at the Calle Flygare Teaterskola before studying acting at the Teaterhögskolan in Stockholm from 1986 to 1989.

After graduating, she worked for several years at various Swedish theaters, including the Riksteatern , Norrbottensteatern , Brunnsgatan 4 , Raddioteatern and the Royal Dramatic Theater before venturing into film in the late 1990s. Already in one of her first roles as Berit in Drama härligheten Hela , she was awarded the Swedish Film Award Guldbagge as Best Supporting Actress Award.
