Maria Louise Denst (born February 15, 1932 in Kürten ; † December 12, 2016 there ) was a German local researcher and dialect writer .

Life

Maria Louise Denst was married and has two children. Professionally she worked as a post office clerk. She was particularly interested in the local dialect. She was a member of the Rheinische Mundartschriftsteller e. V. Cologne. She wrote the 427-page Bergisch Dialect Dictionary for Kürten-Olpe and the surrounding area in Rheinischer Dokumenta with the participation of the former Office for Rhenish Regional Studies in Bonn (today: LVR Institute for Regional Studies and Regional History ). In addition to her own writings, she has written numerous articles on the topics of dialect and local history, for example in the series Heimat between Sülz and Dhünn , in the Rheinisch-Bergisch calendar , in Freilichtblick and in the Kürten writings .
