Maria Marxer
Maria Marxer (born February 11, 1931 in Ruggell ) is a Liechtenstein politician ( FBP ).
biography
After Gamprin was the second municipality in the country to introduce women's suffrage at the municipal level in 1980, Marxer was elected to the municipal council in the municipal elections in 1983. Along with Elsa Oehri, who was also elected, and Emma Brogle-Sele ( VU ), the Vaduz councilor, she was one of the first women on a Liechtenstein council.
From 1987 to 1991, Marxer was vice chairwoman of Gamprin. Subsequently, she held office from 1991 to 1995 as a community Head of Gamprin. Marxer was the first woman to act as a community leader in Liechtenstein. It was not until 2015 that Maria Kaiser-Eberle was re-elected to this office.
