Maria Noichl (born January 9, 1967 in Rosenheim ) is a Bavarian politician ( SPD ). She has been a member of the European Parliament since the 2014 European elections . From 2008 to 2013 she was a member of the Bavarian State Parliament .

Life

Noichl was born in Rosenheim and went to a girls' secondary school there. In her youth Noichl was a member of the Catholic rural youth movement (KLJB) . After her secondary school leaving certificate in 1983, she completed an apprenticeship as a housekeeper and then made her master's degree . After working as a housekeeping manager in a nursing home, she attended technical college and graduated from high school . After her second teaching degree in 1995, she worked as a specialist teacher for nutrition and design. She was also a member of the staff council .

Noichl has two sons.

Noichl entered 1991, the SPD Bavaria and became in 2002 the city council of Rosenheim selected. In the state elections in 2008 she ran on September 28, 2008 in the constituency of Rosenheim-West and was elected to the Bavarian state parliament via the district list of Upper Bavaria . She was a member of the Diet, Agriculture and Forestry Committee . In 2013 she missed the re-entry into the state parliament. In the 2014 European elections , she was elected to 18th place in the European Parliament . She is a member of the Committee on Agriculture and Rural Development, the Committee on Women's Rights and Gender Equality, and an alternate member of the Committee on Development. Since 2018 she has been the federal chairwoman of the Working Group of Social Democratic Women .
