Maria Seweryn (born March 23, 1975 in Warsaw ) is a Polish actress .

Maria Seweryn is the daughter of the Polish actors Krystyna Janda and Andrzej Seweryn . She had her first film appearance at the side of her parents in 1980 in Andrzej Wajda's film The Conductor . Her parents played a musician couple and Maria their daughter in this film. In the 1990s she completed an acting degree at the Akademia Teatralna Warsaw , which she graduated in 1998. After graduating, she first played at the Teatr Powszechny in Warsaw, then at the Teatr Rozmaitości and Teatr Rampa in Warsaw. In the following years she played in the Warsaw Komedia and belonged to the ensemble of the Teatr Współczesny in Szczecin for a year . In the film she starred in Andrzej Wajda's The Holy Week in 1995 and in Julia Walking Home in 2002, directed by Agnieszka Holland .
