Maria Zintz

Maria Zintz (* 1940s) is a Romanian art historian , curator , art critic and university professor .

Life

After graduating from the history and philosophy faculty specializing in art history at the Babeș-Bolyai University of Cluj , she became a curator at the Johann Hunyadi Museum in Timișoara , then at the Brukenthal Museum in Sibiu and then at the Muzeul Țării Crișurilor in Großwardein , where she has been working for over 30 years.

She has organized over 160 solo exhibitions, written over 40 catalogs and has over 300 art-critical publications in the press. Since 1998 Maria Zintz has been a member of the art criticism division of the Association of Visual Artists from Romania (Uniunea Artistilor Plastici din Romania) .

From 1999 until today she teaches in the Faculty of Fine Arts at Oradea University .
