Marian Turowski

Marian Turowski (born December 27, 1964 in Sobótka ) is a former Polish cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

His greatest sporting success was winning the silver medal at the UCI track world championships in 1985 in the team pursuit together with Ryszard Dawidowicz , Andrzej Sikorski , Leszek Stępniewski . 1985 to 1987 he took part in the UCI track world championships .

At the Summer Olympics in Seoul in 1988 he competed in the team pursuit with Ryszard Dawidowicz, Joachim Halupczok and Andrzej Sikorski. The Polish four finished in 7th place.

He was Polish champion in the single pursuit in 1987 (from 1984 to 1986 he was vice-champion). He won the title in the team pursuit from 1986 to 1990. Turowski started for the clubs BKS Ślęza Sobótka , Legia Warszawa (1984–1985), WLKS Gryfa Szczecin (1986–1990).
