Ryszard Dawidowicz

Ryszard Dawidowicz (born June 11, 1960 in Stare Czarnowo ) is a former Polish cyclist and national champion in cycling .

Athletic career

Dawidowicz was a track cyclist , his strength lay in the endurance disciplines, but he also competed in road races . At the UCI track world championships in 1985 , he won silver in the team pursuit behind the four from Italy together with Andrzej Sikorski , Leszek Stępniewski and Marian Turowski . He was at the start at a total of six track world championships. In addition to the silver medal in 1985, his best placements in individual competitions were sixth places in the single pursuit in 1982 and 1983 . He was a participant in the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul . There he was fifth in the single pursuit and finished 7th in the team pursuit .

Dawidowicz was Polish champion in the 1000 meter time trial in 1985, 1987 and 1988, in the single pursuit in 1982, 1984, 1988, 1990, 1991 and 1995. In the team pursuit, he won the title from 1983 to 1990. In addition, there was a large number of silver and bronze medals at the Polish Railway Championships.
