Mariana Ingold
Mariana Ingold Barbé (born November 17, 1958 in Montevideo ) is a Uruguayan composer and singer of Uruguayan popular music.
Ingold received her musical training from Leo Masliah , Coriún Aharonián , Jorge Lazaroff , Osvaldo Fattoruso , Graciela Paraskevaídis and Edú Lombardo . After she sang in the Monteverdi and Discantus choirs at the age of 15, for example , she joined the Pro-Música Antigua group in 1973 , to which she was a singer, organist and percussionist until 1975. In 1981 she founded the group Travesía together with Estela Magnone and Mayra Hugo . She was also a member of Las tres . She started her solo career in 1983. In 1985 her record Hasta siempre was released . The following year she released her first LP called Todo depende . After playing as a drummer with Osvaldo Fattoruso in 1989, they appeared as a duo from 1990 onwards and gave guest appearances in Spain, Cuba, Sweden, Brazil and Argentina. Her song Llamando supported Uruguay's performance at the Seville Expo in 1992 . She also worked musically with many other artists, such as Clark Terry , Chico Buarque or Fito Páez . In the course of her career, she also received the Premio Florencio Sánchez for the best theater music for children and the Premio Fabini for the best children's music composer. Over a hundred records, in which she was involved, also followed adaptations of her works by numerous other artists from Uruguay, Iceland, Italy and Brazil.
