Marianne Hütter

Marianne Hütter (born April 4, 1902 in Kirchberg am Wagram , † September 21, 1991 in Mistelbach ) was an Austrian teacher and writer.

Life

As the daughter of the tax officer Franz Tribl, she attended the institution of the English Misses and then the teacher training institution in Krems . From 1921 she taught at several locations in the Waldviertel before she retired in 1932 because of a thyroid problem. In 1928 she married Karl Hütter, who was director of economic affairs in the military. With him she had the daughter Gertrude (* 1934). In 1935 she moved to Vienna because of her husband's transfer, but he was dismissed from military service after the invasion of the Wehrmacht in 1938, whereupon both of them moved to Eggenburg . Her husband was mayor of Eggenburg between 1947 and 1950.

Marianne Hütter was active as a writer until the late 1940s and published around three hundred plays for children, which were also played by children.
