Marie-Christine Lombard

Marie-Christine Lombard (* 1958 ) is a French businesswoman. She has been the General Director of Geodis since October 2012 . She is also a member of the Keolis Board of Directors (2012) and has been Chair of the Lyon City Entrepreneurship Coordination Committee since 2008.

Life

After studying science, Lombard studied business administration at the ESSEC business school and received her PhD in 1982. She began in the United States as a merchandising company. Head of the American department store chain Lord & Taylor. From 1983 to 1986, Marie-Christine Lombard headed the Multinational Department at Chemical Bank in New York.
She then moved to Bank Paribas, first in the Corporate Finance department (1986–1988), then in the merger and acquisition department (1988–1991). In 1991, she was appointed Deputy Head of the Lyon Office (1991–1993) and Regional Delegate for international mergers and acquisitions at Paribas, a position she held until 1992.

She left Paribas and the banking sector for a position as Chief Financial Officer of the TPG Group, renamed TNT in 2005. She then became the managing director and CEO of the subsidiary Jet Services (1999-2003), which in 2002 became TNT Express France. At TNT, in 2004 she was appointed CEO of the Group's Express division and a member of the Board of Directors. In May 2011 she became CEO of TNT Express NV from which she resigned in September 2012.

In October 2012 she was appointed General Manager of Geodis at the suggestion of Group Chairman Pierre Blayau.
