Marie-Hélène Aubert (born November 16, 1955 in Nantes ) is a French politician of the Les Verts (The Greens) party.

Life

From 1997 to 2002 she was a member of the Eure-et-Loir department and Vice-President of the National Assembly from 2001 to 2002.

Since she sat for the Greens in the Nantes Congress in autumn 2002, she and Christophe Porquier led the Renewal Now (Renovation maintenant) movement. She was spokeswoman for the Greens until she was elected to the European Parliament in June 2004 , of which she was a member until 2009.

On June 13, 2004, she led the list of Les Verts in the western constituency ( Bretagne , Pays de la Loire and Poitou-Charentes ) and was elected to the European Parliament for this constituency.

She is the author of the report Les OGM, pour quoi faire? (2000) and rapporteur for the Kyoto Protocol .
