Marie-Line Reynaud

Marie-Line Reynaud (born July 17, 1954 in Barbezieux-Saint-Hilaire ) is a French politician . She was from 1997 to 2002 and has been a member of the National Assembly since 2007 and was a member of the European Parliament from 2004 to 2007 .

Reynaud graduated with a Masters in European Law . In 1985 she moved to Jarnac and joined the city council in 1989. In the 1997 parliamentary elections she was elected to the National Assembly for the Parti socialiste in the Charente department . At the local level, she was promoted to deputy mayor of Jarnac in 2001. In 2002 she was not re-elected as a MP. In the 2004 European elections, however, she was elected to the European Parliament. In 2007 she ran again in the parliamentary elections and was able to move back into the National Assembly. As a result, she withdrew from the European Parliament and gave up her post as deputy mayor. She was re-elected as a MP in the 2012 elections.
