Marie Červinková-Riegrová (born August 9, 1854 in Prague , † January 19, 1895 there ) was a Czech writer and librettist .

Life

Červinková-Riegrová, who was involved in charity and also gave various lectures, was also active as a writer: in 1881 she published a biography of Bernard Bolzano , in 1885 a biography of František Palacký and in 1887 an extensive work on the need for protection of poor, single young people, for which she later received an award.

She also wrote some libretti , including the operas Dimitrij and The Jacobin for Antonín Dvořák and Zmařená svatba for Karel Šebor .
