Marie Tourell Søderberg (born July 26, 1988 in Nørrebro , Copenhagen ) is a Danish actress .

life and career

Marie Søderberg was born in the Danish capital Copenhagen in 1988 . She grew up in the Copenhagen boroughs of Rødovre and Valby and attended Sankt Annæ Gymnasium. She received her acting training at the National Danish Drama School, which she graduated in June 2012. In New York , she studied at the Lee Strasberg Theater and Film Institute .

Marie Søderberg made her film debut in 2003 in the Danish short film Øje-blink . In German-speaking countries she became known through the female lead of Inge Juhl in the Danish television miniseries 1864 - Love and Treason in Times of War from 2014, which thematized the German-Danish War of 1864. For this portrayal, Marie Søderberg received a nomination for Best Actress in a TV Series at the Robert Festival in 2015 .

In 2016 she published the non-fiction book Hygge. The Danish Art of Happiness .
